On Wed., Feb. 28, Eddie Flores, founding partner of L&L Franchise, Inc., spoke to the Hogan Entrepreneurs and guests. The title of his presentation was “Impact Marketing Without Spending Much Money.” Flores spoke about the importance of using marketing strategy and publicity with as little money as possible. He does this by creating exciting, different and new products that attract customers. For example, during the Atkins diet craze, Mr. Flores created an Atkins Plate Lunch that was unheard of by the traditional plate lunch establishments. As people began to be more conscious about their eating habits, Mr. Flores also created healthier choices. He draws in free publicity by putting on exciting and different events in the community such as his Annual St. Patrick’s Day Musubi Eating Contest, and the $.76 Plate Lunch in Wal-Mart. Flores spoke about doing things with your business that will have an impact on the community. He has exhibited this through his work with Goodwill Industries and The Salvation Army. It is certain that L&L Franchise has seen much success in Hawaii and across the mainland due to Flores’ motivation and creativity. The deadline for applications to the Hogan Program is March 23. Applications are available in Kieffer Hall Room 12. For more information contact Ginger Miller at 440-4280 or gmiller@chaminade.edu.
