Day Undergraduate Students – Withdrawal No Record deadline
This Fri., Feb. 16, is the last day to “Withdraw with no record” for the Spring Day 2007 semester. This means that a withdrawal that occurs by this date will not appear on your official transcript. After this Friday, any withdrawals will result in a “W” being noted on your transcript until Fri., March 23. After March 23, you will not be allowed to withdraw from a class. Feel free to speak with someone in Academic Advising if you have any questions.
Declare your major
This is just a reminder that if you have not officially declared a major yet, you are encouraged to do so in the Academic Advising office, Freitas Hall Room 252. It’s fast and easy, and will help us to guide your path toward graduation. Remember that the “intended” major you may have written on your first application to Chaminade University does not constitute an official declaration.
The Great Aloha Run
In in its 22-year history, The Great Aloha Run has raised more than $6.8 million awarded to over 100 non-profit health and human service organizations and community groups throughout Hawaii. The 8.15-mile foot race begins at Aloha Tower and finishes in the Aloha Stadium. There is a place in the Great Aloha Run for everyone who wants to participate. It is this inclusive philosophy that reflects the Hawaiian name for this race – “Ke kukini me ke aloha pau‘ole” – the race with compassionate love.
Chaminade is trying to become a Presidents’ 100 Club Member for the first time. The Great Aloha Run website describes the President’s 100 Club Circle as:
“Companies who encourage their employees to adopt a healthy way of living and support their spirit of community giving.”
There are TWO ways CUH staff, faculty and students can sign up to be part of the Presidents’ 100 Club:
• Online registration at www.greataloharun.com
• Registration form in the official registration booklets, which may be found in Freitas 220 and Academic Advising; 7-11 Stores; and the Great Aloha Run Office.
OUR PRESIDENTS’ 100 CLUB CODE IS 119.
Thanks, Orientation Leaders!
Chaminade’s Orientation staff would like to thank this spring’s Orientation Leaders, led by team captains Wendle Raping and Christopher Tavares! This dedicated team of fourteen campus leaders welcomed our new students to the Chaminade 'ohana. As orientation leaders, they enjoyed getting to know other students and worked to build a strong sense of community by helping with the countless details that make those first few days of the term successful. They were involved with planning, implementing and evaluating orientation and ensure that each semester's program improves on previous efforts. We are very proud of our orientation leaders this term and ask the community to join us in thanking and congratulating them!
