Chaminade seniors earn top honors
William Bow, senior in forensic science, received the Tom Pasternack Outstanding Tutor Award for 2006 on Oct. 20 from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) at its annual conference in Austin, Texas. Bow was the CRLA’s only recipient this year for the national award and was selected from nominations from across the country. Bow is a student peer tutor with the Academic Advising Program. He is also a CRLA certified Master Tutor with more than 300 tutorial hours in organic and biochemistry.
Congratulations also to Seth Miller, senior in environmental studies, who received an internship with the Tongariro Natural History Society in New Zealand to work on conservation and restoration projects within Tongariro National Park from Dec. 11 to Jan. 10, 2007.
