facts are the seeds that later produce knowledge and wisdom, then the
emotions and the impressions of the senses are the fertile soil in which

GOVERNOR LINDA LINGLE MAKES A SURPRISE VISIT TO CHAMINADE Governor Linda Lingle spoke to Chaminade graduate students on campus last night thanks to Dr. Larry Price, graduate professor in Human Resources and Management. Dr. Price had invited Gov. Lingle to speak to his Managerial Negotiation Class (MBA 707) without telling his students. Students said they were stunned and yet very honored at her unexpected visit. They also appreciated her candor in sharing with them her experiences. The Governor spoke specifically on the challenges she faced in labor negotiations. Lingle said when she came to office, there were five major unions that she had to deal with. Her first response to any negotiations is to get to know the parties in an effort to understand their needs. Though she is not directly involved with negotiations, she does set parameters for those negotiations. The Governor stayed overtime to answer student questions.
